Why it matters
Gel bonds tightly to the top layer of your nail. Softening it first lets it release without taking any natural nail with it, so your next set sits on a healthy, smooth base.
What we remove
- Gel polish — softened and lifted off, about 20 minutes.
- Hard gel — filed down carefully, about 30 minutes.
- Acrylic, gel extensions and press-ons — about 40 minutes per set.
When to remove
Book a removal when gel starts lifting at the edges, extensions lift at the base, or your set is 3–4 weeks old. Waiting too long lets water and dirt into the gaps, which can stain or weaken your natural nail.
Afterwards
Your nails are cleaned and shaped. If they feel thin, try a strengthening gel before your next gel polish.
